In today’s episode I interview a former marine and the author of
the new book called Fearvana, The Revolutionary Science of How to
Turn Fear Into Health, Wealth and Happiness.”
Akshay Nanavati was tasked with the ultra dangerous job of walking
in front of military vehicles in Iraq to search for explosives
before they could explode. This traumatic experience lead Akshay
down a dark path where he was diagnosed with PTSD, and abusing
alcohol and drugs daily. After a suicide attempt, he decided he
needed to change. This decision lead him to a deep study of
science, psychology, happiness, and success in an attempt to heal
himself and lead a meaningful life of his own. This research lead
to his breakthroughs and his book and we talk heavily about that
journey and the lessons he learned along the way. If you ever
struggle with fear or have some kind of emotional baggage holding
you back, this episode is definitely for you!
